The participation of the Republican Veterinary Laboratory in the Summit contributes to the development of cooperation and the study of international experience in the field of veterinary control, quality and safety of products, as well as food safety issues.

As part of the Summit, a panel session was held on 23 April 2026 on “Food security in Central Asia: promoting sustainable management of water and land resources through regional cooperation”. The session was moderated by Deputy Director-General, Regional Representative for Europe and Central Asia, Mr.
The Vice-Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerbol Tasjurekov addressed the participants with greetings and stressed the relevance of food security issues and the need to consolidate the efforts of the countries of the region.
During the panel discussion, representatives of relevant ministries and international organizations, including the Vice Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Momyshev, the First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Nino Tandilashvili, the Deputy Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Almaz Jehaneliyev, the Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan Bahromjon Ahmadzoda, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Turkmenistan Berkeley Berkeleyyev, as well as the General Director of the Islamic Organization of Food Security Berik Arin, spoke.
The key challenges facing Central Asian countries, including water scarcity, land degradation and the impact of climate change on agro-food systems, were discussed.
At the end of the session, it was noted the need to raise awareness about the relationship between water and land resources and food security, strengthen regional political dialogue and develop coordinated joint actions that correspond to the climate and food priorities of the region.
