On 24 June 2024, a roundtable was held Codex Alimentarius results, lessons learned and achievements organized within the framework of the FAO/WHO Trust Fund Code project.
What is the Codex Alimentarius?
The Codex Alimentarius is a collection of international food standards approved by the International Commission of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
The National Group on Codex Alimentarius with the support of the WHO Country Office held a round table with the participation of national stakeholders and experts in the field of food security. During the round table, the presentations and reports of the representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture, the WHO, the FAO were heard.
During the round table, stakeholders’ speeches were heard, Kazakhstan’s experience and achievements in the implementation of the Codex Alimentarius Trust Fund were discussed, questions were asked about the reports and speeches of the participants of the round table and memorable photographs of the participants were taken.
