The ceremony was attended by Temirkhan Amantaevich Yelshibayev, Director General of the Republican Veterinary Laboratory; Sayat Kabidenovich Mussin, Akim of Karkaraly District; Aslan Rakhimovich Rakhimbergenov, Akim of the city of Karkaraly; and Yerzhan Mysyrovich Beketbayev, Head of the Karaganda Regional Territorial Inspectorate of the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Speaking at the ceremony, Temirkhan Yelshibayev noted that strengthening veterinary infrastructure is an important prerequisite for ensuring the country’s epizootic well-being, the safety of agricultural products, and the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex.

The modernization of veterinary infrastructure is becoming particularly important in the context of the tasks set by the Head of State. In his address, Kassym-Jomart K. Tokayev emphasized the need to strengthen control over infectious animal diseases, noting that this directly affects the export potential of Kazakhstan’s livestock sector. In this regard, the development of a modern laboratory base, improvement of diagnostic quality, and strengthening of veterinary safety remain important conditions for the sustainable development of the country’s agro-industrial complex.

On behalf of the staff of the Republican Veterinary Laboratory, Temirkhan Yelshibayev expressed gratitude to the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart K. Tokayev, for his particular attention to the development of the veterinary sector; to Aidarbek Seypiluly Saparov, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Ministry’s leadership for their systematic support; as well as to the Akimat of the Karaganda Region and the leadership of Karkaraly District for their assistance in implementing the project.

The new building and modern infrastructure create conditions for improving the quality and efficiency of laboratory diagnostics, introducing additional testing methods, and developing veterinary and sanitary examination services. The laboratory’s operational capacity allows it to conduct up to 800,000 tests.

The opening of the facility marks an important stage in the modernization of the region’s veterinary infrastructure and serves as a clear example of cooperation between central government bodies and local executive authorities in strengthening veterinary safety in the region.
