The joint project on nature conservation between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic is being successfully implemented.

Since 2024, the Veterinary Control and Supervision Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the Forestry and Animal World Committee of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources is implementing a project on the reintroduction of Przhevalsky horses into Kazakhstan.

As part of this initiative, Przhevalsky horses have been brought from the Czech Republic and Hungary to the State Nature Reserve Алтын Дала in Kostanay region, where they are undergoing a phase of adaptation.

For the veterinary support of the project, the veterinarian physician of the regional branch of the Republican Veterinary Laboratory in Astana, Karatayeva Saltanat Tyнысbekovna, is taking part in the biological sampling in Hungary.

The project is an important step in preserving biodiversity and strengthening our country’s environmental sustainability.
