During the visit, the specialists got acquainted with the technical equipment of the laboratories, the methods of diagnosing brucellosis and the existing procedures for monitoring the disease. They also held discussions with local veterinary specialists, exchanged experience and gave recommendations for improving laboratory research.

The visit was an important step in the development of Kazakhstan’s cooperation with FAO and the strengthening of the country’s veterinary system.

Following the meetings, proposals were developed to further improve measures to combat brucellosis, including strengthening laboratory monitoring, raising the qualifications of specialists and introducing new diagnostic technologies.
