The event was attended by experts from the laboratory research and planning department of the RGP “Republican Veterinary Laboratory”, as well as representatives of key ministries the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international organizations such as the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Organization of Animal Health (WHO) and the country office of WHO in Kazakhstan.
On the first day of the seminar, the participants discussed the principles and context of RRIs, the process of developing the instrument and its piloting. Templates for future reports and presentations on RRIs were also presented.
The second day was devoted to group work on risk assessment and characterization, as well as technical interpretation of data and risk management capabilities.
On the third and final day, the groups completed their reports and presented the results to the steering committee.
Such activities contribute to the strengthening of cooperation between national and international organizations, as well as the development of effective strategies for managing risks in the field of animal and human health in Kazakhstan
