The main purpose of the visit was to assess the progress of the repair work carried out on the second floor of the existing laboratory, with the aim of its subsequent opening.

The opening of the modernised facility is envisaged within the framework of an agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on the provision of laboratory equipment for the region.

During the visit, the director-general visited the laboratory, assessed the condition of the premises and got acquainted with the current stages of repair work.

Also during the visit, T.A. Elshibayev held a meeting with the director of the regional laboratory and the specialists involved in the project.

The modernization and repair of the laboratory is an important step in improving the quality of veterinary services in the region.
