From May 15 to 17, 2024, in Almaty, with the support of USAID, the National Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan has conducted a short-term course on the basis of applying a single inter-sectoral approach to health, aimed at ensuring the constant coordination of about 60 specialists of the district/regional subordinate institutions of health, agriculture and ecology.
At this course, the head of the department of the methodical and training center of the Republican Veterinary Laboratory, veterinary science candidate – Sayat Tullebaevish read lectures and worked as a mentor on zoonotic diseases.
United health is a way to optimize human, animal and ecosystem health by bringing them together rather than dividing them into regions.
Such an interdisciplinary approach allows for more effective solutions to the problems associated with the spread of zoonotic diseases, improving sanitary conditions and maintaining ecosystem balance.
The specialists who have taken the course have gained valuable knowledge and skills that will help them to further apply integrated methods for disease prevention and control, as well as contribute to improving public health and sustainable development of regions.
