Since 24 June 2024, the RGP at PHI National Center of Public Health Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with CDC (US Center for Disease Control and Prevention) and with the support of USAID, conducts training on the program of applied epidemiology for specialists of the territorial units of the Veterinary Control and Supervision Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Republican Veterinary Laboratory was presented by the senior expert of the department of strategic planning, risk assessment and external relations – Sirgabekova Aliya Saratovna, who successfully completed this training.
The One Health – Frontline FETP programme aims to strengthen the potential to combat zoonotic diseases and other threats at the intersection of humans, animals and the environment.
This training is necessary to strengthen the control of dangerous infections that can be transmitted between humans and animals, as well as to prevent new epidemics. Developing competencies in epidemiological, veterinary and environmental surveillance will help identify and respond to threats in a timely manner, protecting public health and the environment.
Participants, including health, agriculture and ecology specialists, undergo three-month training with field studies to improve the quality of epidemiological, veterinary and environmental surveillance of infections and timely response to epidemics.
