On the initiative of the general director of the Republican Veterinary Laboratory Elshibayev Temirhan Amantayevich, an online training seminar on Risk-management. Risk management, aimed at improving the level of corporate governance, improving the internal control system and developing a risk-oriented approach to the Enterprise’s activities, was held at the Enterprise.

The training was attended by the employees of the Central Office and the branches of the Republican Veterinary Laboratory, including employees of financial, personnel and administrative units.

Expert-practitioner in the field of risk management, Erzan Amirgaliyevich Akataev, conducted the training. Within the framework of the seminar, the current issues of building and developing a risk-management system, the international standards ISO 31000, COSO ERM and FERMA, the issues of determining risk-appetite, the formation of a risk register and map, as well as the practical aspects of introducing a risk-oriented approach to the activities of organizations were considered.

Particular attention was paid to determining the risk-appetite of the organization, forming risk registers and maps, allocating responsibility between structural units, introducing a risk-oriented approach to planning and management processes, as well as increasing the resilience of the organization to internal and external impact factors.

Within the framework of the seminar, modern methods of assessing the likelihood of occurrence of risk events, analysis of the consequences of risk implementation, selection of response measures and minimization of potential threats were considered.

The knowledge gained will be used in further implementing the risk-management system in the Republican Veterinary Laboratory, improving internal control processes, improving the quality of management decisions and strengthening the corporate culture of risk management.

The Republican Veterinary Laboratory is continuing its work to develop personnel capacity, introduce modern management technologies and improve the efficiency of the Enterprise’s activities in accordance with the principles of transparency, accountability and sustainable development.
