The meeting was a continuation of the negotiations initiated during the 92nd General Session of the World Assembly of Delegates of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOSH), held in Paris. The first contact with ANSES was established with the participation of the Scientific Director for Animal Health and Welfare Dr. Eric Cardinale and the Counselor for Agriculture, Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures in the CIS countries Marie-Agnès Amos.
Recognition of the laboratory at EU level strategic objective
The key topic of the meeting was the discussion of the mechanism for the recognition by the European Union of the competence of the Republican Veterinary Laboratory for the detection of rabies virus.This is important for Kazakhstan and the entire Central Asian region, as it allows to increase the level of epidemiological safety and compliance with international standards.
Particular emphasis has been placed on studies to determine the titration of antibodies to the rabies virus, which is critical to ensuring safe international transportation of animals and the recognition of laboratory results abroad.
