The Veterinary Oversight Committee of the HICM of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of implementation of the signed Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the World Organization of Animal Health (hereinafter – WHO) by the veterinary service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the period from 26 to 28 October this year, simulation exercises were held on particularly dangerous diseases of animals namely on elimination of the infectious disease Yashur of cattle.

According to legend, a cow died in the Taynsha district of the North Kazakhstan region, a pathogen of the type A was discovered during the study of the pathogenic material of the fallen cow.

The exercises involved representatives of scientific research institutes, state veterinary organizations, territorial inspections of the Veterinary Control and Supervision Committee of the KMH, as well as emergency agencies, internal affairs bodies, sanitary-epidemiological control institutions, healthcare of Taynsha district of the North Kazakhstan region.

A total of 43 veterinary personnel were involved in the exercises, more than 5 vehicles were involved.

Interdepartmental interaction of services in the event of an emergency.

Organizational issues in the diagnosis, information, localization, elimination, prevention of the infectious disease of measles.

Checking the readiness of the regional and district veterinary service units of the North Kazakhstan region in case of emergencies.

Fieldwork skills have been acquired in the deployment and organization of the elimination work of the acre of measles infection, in establishing the boundaries of the disadvantaged point and in conducting healing activities there, as well as in conducting preventive activities in the threatened zone.

They have mastered the skills of working with modern devices and installations for disinfection, introducing modern personal protective equipment at work.

The results of the event confirmed the readiness of the veterinary service to respond to the occurrence of mosquito bites, to strengthen the control of mosquito bites by improving the effectiveness of the national veterinary services responsible for disease control in order to comply with the recommendations of the WHO.
