The event was attended by the General Director of the Republican Veterinary Laboratory Elshibayev Temirhan Amantayevich.
During the official opening of the session, the President of the Assembly, Dr. Susana Pombo, and the Director General of the WHO, Dr. Emmanuel Subeiran, met with the ministers and vice-ministers of the participating countries.
Particular attention was paid to the measures being taken by Kazakhstan to restore the status of well-being of the Yacht, including:
• adjustment of seromonitoring,
• strengthening controls on the movement of animals,
• improving the transparency of veterinary supervision,
• training of specialists and informing farmers.
According to the results of the half-year, it is planned to submit a dossier to restore the status of a number of regions.
Within the framework of the session , bilateral and multilateral meetings were held with delegates and representatives of various countries and organizations:
• With the Director-General of the WHO, Dr. Emmanuel Subeiran
• With the scientific director of ANSES (France) leading EU veterinary agency
• With the Bulgarian delegation and the chief state veterinarian
• With the Delegations of Turkey, Iran and Georgia
• With representatives of the European Commission
• With Roman Marabelli, Advisor to the Director-General of the WHO
• Visiting meeting at the IMV Technologies production site
Participation in the session was an important step in the development of international partnership, confirming Kazakhstan’s desire to play an active role in shaping the global veterinary agenda and ensuring biological safety.
