On 24 December 2024, the Agricultural Affairs Committee held a thematic meeting in the Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, devoted to the current issues of veterinary system development and implementation of the recommendations voiced at the visiting meeting on 6 November 2023.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Amangaly Berdalin was the main speaker. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health, the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Border Service of the National Bank, the State Revenue Committee, as well as scientific and educational institutions, including the Kazakh Agrotechnical University and others.

The meeting was also attended by General Director Temirhan Amantayevich Elshibayev. Following the meeting, recommendations for further steps in reforming the veterinary industry will be developed.

The deputies also noted the importance of the activities of the Training-Methodic Centre of the Republican Veterinary Laboratory, emphasizing its contribution to raising the qualifications of specialists and ensuring methodological support of the industry.

Special attention was paid to veterinary and phytosanitary safety, as well as the role of veterinary organizations and laboratories in strengthening the safety system in the country.
