Within the framework of the cooperation of the first head of the RGP at PHV Republican Veterinary Laboratory with the leadership of the RGP at PHV National Center of Public Health of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a memorandum was signed, thanks to which the RVL actively participates in activities aimed at protecting the health of the population and animals.
From 18 to 24 November, the World Health Organization celebrates the World Week for the Proper Use of Antimicrobial Drugs, which aims to draw attention to the problem of drug resistance and to emphasize the importance of the proper use of antibiotics.
Within a week, on November 18, the National Center for Public Health organized a roundtable on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) oversight.
The round table discussed key issues:
– implementation of the epidemic surveillance system for PPPs in Kazakhstan;
– achievements and plans for the future;
– the results of the control lab evaluation.
Such measures underline the importance of interagency cooperation in the fight against antimicrobial resistance and contribute to the development of common solutions to improve control effectiveness in both the medical and veterinary spheres.- data on antibiotic consumption at the outpatient and inpatient levels;
– food security issues in the context of the fight against food insecurity;
– the draft operational plan for the implementation of the roadmap for measures to contain PPPs until 2025.
The event was an important platform for exchanging experiences and developing strategies to effectively address antimicrobial resistance in various sectors, including veterinary medicine.
