The RVL leadership has been invited to take part in the World Antibiotic Use Week events. Information on the event is available on amenet.crie.su The purpose of the platform is to inform the public about antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
This platform brings together the institutions of sanitary-epidemiological supervision, veterinary and food safety services of several countries. Assistant Director of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology (Russia) Igor Mansenyuk, who visited Astana, invited RVL to become part of this international team to fill the platform with Kazakh information content.
During the meeting, representatives of the Russian Research Institute also shared information about the regional laboratory network on food safety of agricultural products and briefly spoke about the objectives of this organization.
In conclusion, the guests spoke about the upcoming event, which will be held under the auspices of a four-way partnership: the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Organization for the Protection of Animal Health (WHO), the World Week for the Proper Use of Antibiotics. This will be a very important initiative aimed at combating the problem of antibiotic resistance and preserving its effectiveness.
