The General Director of the RDP Republican Veterinary Laboratory T. Elshibayev visited with a working visit in the composition of the Kazakh delegation of the Russian Federation’s Rosсельхознадзор.
As part of the working visit, on 8 August in Moscow, the Chairman of the Veterinary Control and Supervision Committee of the RXM A. Jakupbayev met with the head of the Russian Federation’s Rosselkhoznadzor S. Dankvert.
Askar Jakupbayev noted the importance of developing bilateral cooperation between the countries’ veterinary services to ensure food security in the context of events over the past year in the region, which led to a change in the logistics of imported and exported goods through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In turn, Sergey Dankvert noted the growing trade turnover between the two countries, in particular, increased shipments of poultry meat, sausages, milk, cream, cheeses, sausage and acid milk products.
The meeting also discussed the integration of information systems in the field of veterinary medicine and access of Kazakh meat (beef, lamb) to the Russian market, where agreements were reached on revising the previously introduced time restrictions.
T. Elshibayev in the composition of the delegation visited the FGBU All-Russian State Center for Quality and Standardization of Medicinal Products for Animals and Feed (FGBU VGNKI), the FGBU Federal Center for the Protection of Animal Health (FGBU VNIIZ) to examine experimental laboratories and production capacities.
Participants discussed topical issues on ensuring veterinary safety and reached agreements on expanding cooperation in conducting joint diagnostic studies of biological material and food products, participation of Kazakhstan’s laboratories in inter-laboratory comparative studies to confirm competence.
The parties discussed the possibility of conducting joint trainings and training courses for Kazakh specialists on timely diagnosis of animal diseases and food products in accordance with the technical regulations of the Customs Union, as well as the areas of scientific cooperation and transfer of vaccine production technologies.
