The delegation was composed of Kulikova Nina Georgievna, Bitumina Lucia Aitkalievna, Morozov Maria Sergeevna, Polchnikov (Detisova) Galina Igorevna and Sushilin Alexander Valerievich. During the meeting at the Republican Veterinary Laboratory, representatives of the National Veterinary Reference Center and the Republican Veterinary Laboratory of the Veterinary Control and Supervision Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan discussed the cooperation plan for 2024, aimed at implementing joint activities and the contribution of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the development of the Regional laboratory network on resistance to antimicrobial drugs in food products.

Particular attention has been paid to the contribution of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the development of the Regional Laboratory Network on antimicrobial resistance in food products and agriculture in the countries of the World Food and Agriculture Organization. The joint efforts are aimed at improving food safety and strengthening animal health, which is an important step in ensuring the overall food security of the region.

They also discussed the possibility of conducting joint research and training of specialists to enhance skills and exchange experience, which will strengthen scientific ties and improve methods of controlling and preventing the spread of antibiotic-resistant pathogens.
