At the 93rd General Session of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) in Paris, Kazakhstan officially received the status of a vaccination-free zone.

The official certificate was handed over to the Kazakh delegation headed by Aydarbek Saparov, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As Minister Aydarbek Saparov noted, Kazakhstan has constantly strengthened its system to combat animal infectious diseases and confirmed high levels of national veterinary safety. Today, the entire territory of the country is covered by internationally recognized vaccination-free zones.

WOAH Director-General Emmanuel Subayran appreciated Kazakhstan’s efforts to develop veterinary services, reconstruct laboratory infrastructure, introduce international standards and strengthen regional cooperation in Central Asia.

Achieving this status will allow us to expand the export potential of domestic livestock products, strengthen Kazakhstan’s international reputation and increase the level of trust among partners in foreign trade.
