With the support of the general director of the Republican Veterinary Laboratory, the Open Doors Day was held in the Kostanay regional branch, organized in order to increase the openness of laboratory service activities, develop interaction with relevant organizations and inform the population about modern possibilities of veterinary diagnostics.

The event was attended by specialists of the KGP Veterinary Station, representatives of the agricultural college, producers of goods in the region, as well as representatives of interested organizations engaged in activities in the field of agriculture and veterinary medicine.
For the guests, an introductory tour of the main structural units of the laboratory was organized and the participants of the event were shown the work of the samples reception, animal disease diagnosis and food safety departments, as well as the main stages of laboratory research.
The specialists of the branch gave a detailed account of the laboratory’s activities, the research carried out, the diagnostic methods used and modern approaches to veterinary safety. Particular attention was paid to the issues of epizootic well-being, control of the safety of animal products and the role of laboratory research in preventing the spread of particularly dangerous animal diseases.
During the event, participants got acquainted with the work of modern laboratory equipment used in conducting diagnostic studies, received information about the possibilities of the laboratory, the range of services provided and the prospects for further development of veterinary laboratory services.
Within the framework of the open dialogue, the experts of the branch answered the questions received, discussed with the participants the current issues of cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine and agriculture, as well as exchanged views on improving the quality and effectiveness of laboratory control.
The celebration of the Open Doors Day contributes to strengthening the interaction between the veterinary service, educational institutions and agricultural goods producers, raising awareness about the activities of laboratories and developing trust in the veterinary control system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
