Over the course of three days, the participants – employees of the Almaty Regional Branch – got acquainted with DNA extraction techniques, modern reagent sets and key stages of polymerase chain reaction (PCR).

The use of PCR today plays a central role in molecular diagnostics, including determining the species of meat, identifying genetic markers, controlling product falsification, and much more. Such training activities allow modern technologies to be introduced into everyday laboratory practice, increasing the accuracy, reproducibility, and reliability of research results.

Such partnership initiatives contribute to the strengthening of scientific and practical potential and the development of the veterinary and food safety system as a whole.
