The main theme of the meeting was the development of the East Kazakhstan regional branch and preparation for the opening of the Single Multi-Profil Agricultural Laboratory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the People’s Republic of China, which is being created within the framework of the bilateral agreement.

The parties also discussed the inclusion of modern laboratory equipment and standard samples in the State Register of Measurement Devices of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This will allow the equipment to be used within the framework of official quality control and biological safety, as well as to expand the field of accreditation of the branch.

During the meeting, the scientific potential of the laboratory was discussed in detail. Today, the East Kazakhstan branch is equipped with high-precision analytical equipment, including a liquid chromatograph with mass spectrometry (VESH-MS), ion chromatographs, atomic emission and mass spectrometers with inductively bound plasma, as well as digital microscopes with the ability to broadcast research through specialized online platforms. This creates wide conditions for international scientific interaction, distance learning, training of personnel and joint research.

This level of equipment enables the branch to conduct in-depth research in the field of food safety, develop and implement modern techniques, as well as provide expert and analytical services in a cross-border format, especially taking into account cross-border cooperation with the People’s Republic of China.
