Supporting employees in participating in such significant events is an important part of the enterprise’s strategy aimed at raising the qualifications of specialists and strengthening international cooperation.
On 20-21 November, the third annual meeting of the regional laboratory network on resistance to antimicrobial drugs in the food and agriculture industries (VEZCA Network) took place in Moscow.
The main objective of the meeting was to discuss current initiatives and plans to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMP), strengthen cooperation between Eastern European, Transcaucasian and Central Asian countries, as well as improve the effectiveness of epidemiological surveillance in agriculture.
Key issues of the program included:
– new global initiatives to reduce the spread of PTSD;
– the results of the GCP/RER/057/RUS project and its extension until 2027;
– the current trends in monitoring PPPs in food products and agriculture;
– legislative and laboratory capabilities of the region ‘s countries in the fight against PTSD until 2030;
– feedback from participating countries and beneficiary institutions.
The meeting summarized the results of the year, listened to the reports of the participants and outlined tasks for the future period, including expanding the geographical coverage of the WEZCA Network.
Participation in such activities helps to increase competence and exchange experience in implementing effective strategies to reduce resistance to antimicrobials in agriculture and the food industry.
