On the instruction of Temirkhan Amantayevich Yelshibayev, Director General of the Republican Veterinary Laboratory, a specialized training course on high-performance liquid chromatography with mass spectrometric detection (HPLC-MS) was held for enterprise employees at the North Kazakhstan Regional Branch from 19 to 30 October 2026.
During the course, employees received training in three analytical methods: GOST 34678-2020, MI A 1-073, and MI A 1-078. The training covered sample preparation, testing procedures, and the evaluation of results.
Since the beginning of 2026, the Republican Veterinary Laboratory has independently developed and implemented 14 analytical methods covering 67 parameters. Currently, the branches conduct testing for 59 parameters, while methods for the remaining 8 parameters are still being developed and implemented. This work is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
Particular attention is being paid to staff training. Since the beginning of the year, approximately 700 academic hours of training have been delivered to specialists in the field of HPLC-MS.
These initiatives are aimed at expanding the range of veterinary drug residues that can be detected, improving the availability of laboratory testing, and strengthening the laboratory’s capacity to ensure food safety.
