The Aktoba regional branch is a structural unit of the RGP at the “Republican Veterinary Laboratory” of the KVKIN of the RKX. It is located at the address: Aktobe city, Smagulov street, house 11.
The regional branch consists of 12 regional veterinary laboratories, 2 zone veterinary laboratories, the branch carries out the diagnosis of particularly dangerous and enzootic diseases of animals, as well as conducts laboratory research and veterinary sanitary examination.
All laboratories have modular vivariums containing laboratory biological animals such as rabbits, white mice, sea pigs for bacteriological and virological research.
In the diagnostic work of bacteriological laboratories, infection of laboratory animals is often used. Most often, small animals are used for this purpose: white mice, sea pigs, rabbits, and poultry. The purpose of biological methods of research is to determine the pathogenicity or degree of virulence of the material being studied, to extract clean cultures of microbes from the material.
Laboratory animals are also widely used in serological practice: sea pigs for supplementation, rabbits (sheep) for the manufacture of erythrocytes, etc.
The OF of Aktobe is accredited according to the general requirements for the competence of the test and calibration laboratories of GOST/ISO 17025, and also has permission to work with pathogenic microorganisms of II-III-IV groups and helminths
The branch carries out paid services for research on food safety indicators of meat, dairy, fish products, grain crops, feed, blood serum research on biochemical indicators.
