The meeting was held on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and with the participation of Deputy Minister Amangali Bisenbaievich, as well as the adviser on agriculture at the French Embassy in Russia Marie-Agnès Amos.
During the negotiations, the Kazakh side focused on the measures being taken to restore the status of well-being of the Yacht, as well as expressed interest in obtaining expert support from the WHO on a number of technical issues, including:
the absence of a spongy encephalopathy (BSE) status for export;
???? interpretation of the WHO Code on the transit of vaccinated animals;
Conditions for the import of beef into the WTO member countries.
Kazakhstan also initiated a regional event under the aegis of the WHO in January/February 2026, with the possibility of agreeing the topic in accordance with the strategic priorities of the organization and the current needs of the region.
The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aydarbek Saparov sent an official invitation to the Director General of the World Health Organization to visit Kazakhstan.
The meeting was an important step in the development of dialogue between Kazakhstan and WHO, confirming the country’s desire for active participation in shaping the global veterinary agenda.
