On 15-16 May in the city of Almaty, an international scientific-practical conference on 120 years of Kazakh veterinary science: achievements and new tasks in ensuring biological safety was held, dedicated to the anniversary of the Kazakh veterinary research institute (KazNIVI) the oldest scientific institution of the country, founded in 1905 and since 2023 part of the joint stock company National holding company QazBioPharm.
The conference was attended by Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alnazarov Akmaral Sharipbayevna, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Kenjehanулы Yermek, Advisor to the Director General of the World Organization of Animal Health (WHO) Romano Marabelli, as well as leading scientists and experts from Switzerland, China, South Korea, Belarus, Tajikistan, Russia, Turkey, Georgia and other countries.
The purpose of the conference is to strengthen the interaction between science and practice in the veterinary field, exchange international experience, discuss contemporary challenges and develop strategic directions to ensure biological safety, as well as integrate innovative technologies into veterinary practice.
Within the framework of the plenary session, the key achievements of veterinary science during the years of Independence were highlighted.
