History

1933

The region’s foundational laboratory service was established, laying the groundwork for the further development of veterinary diagnostics and the protection of sanitary safety.

April 2003

Pursuant to an order issued by the General Director of the Republican State Treasury Enterprise “Republican Veterinary Laboratory,” the administrative center was relocated from Almaty to Taldykorgan. The institution underwent its first state registration as the Taldykorgan Regional Branch of the Republican State Treasury Enterprise “Republican Veterinary Laboratory” under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

July 2008

In 2005, the institution successfully obtained accreditation to the international ISO/IEC 17025 standard for the first time.

November 2009

The branch was subsequently transferred under the authority of the Committee for State Inspection in the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It was reorganized as the Taldykorgan Regional Branch of the Republican State Enterprise on the Right of Economic Management “Republican Veterinary Laboratory” under the Committee for State Inspection in the Agro-Industrial Complex.

2010–2012

The network of district units expanded significantly with the commissioning of five new modular veterinary laboratories: Aksu, Alakol, Karatal, Kerbulak, and Panfilov.

May 2012

The institution was subsequently renamed the Taldykorgan Regional Branch of the Republican State Enterprise on the Right of Economic Management “Republican Veterinary Laboratory” under the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2019

Advanced molecular biology testing methods based on polymerase chain reaction (PCR) were introduced into laboratory practice to detect the DNA and RNA of infectious agents. The laboratories were equipped with modern fifth-generation Multiskan ELISA analyzers for highly accurate microorganism identification and quantitative determination of antibiotic levels.

January 2026

The branch successfully passed its latest inspection assessment and received a new accreditation certificate.
