History

1933

The region’s foundational laboratory service was established, laying the groundwork for the subsequent development of veterinary diagnostics.

April 2003

Pursuant to an order issued by the General Director of the Republican State Enterprise “Republican Veterinary Laboratory,” the administrative center was relocated from Almaty to Taldykorgan. The institution underwent its first state registration as the Taldykorgan Regional Branch of the Republican State Enterprise “Republican Veterinary Laboratory” under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2005, the branch obtained accreditation to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard for the first time.

July 2008

It was subsequently transferred under the authority of the Committee for State Inspection in the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

November 2009

The institution was reorganized as the Taldykorgan Regional Branch of the Republican State Enterprise on the Right of Economic Management “Republican Veterinary Laboratory” under the Committee for State Inspection in the Agro-Industrial Complex.

2010–2012

The laboratory network expanded significantly with the commissioning of five new modular veterinary laboratories: the Aksu, Alakol, Karatal, Kerbulak, and Panfilov veterinary laboratories.

May 2012

The branch was subsequently renamed the Taldykorgan Regional Branch of the Republican State Enterprise on the Right of Economic Management “Republican Veterinary Laboratory” under the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2019

Advanced molecular biology testing methods were introduced, including PCR for detecting pathogen DNA and RNA. The laboratories were also equipped with fifth-generation Multiskan universal ELISA analyzers for highly accurate microorganism identification and antibiotic detection.

June 2022

Introducing advanced molecular-biological methods of research (PCR for detecting DNA and RNA of pathogens), as well as equipping laboratories with 5-generation Multiskan universal IFA-analysts for high-precision identification of microorganisms and identification of antibiotics.

January 2026

The laboratory successfully passed its latest inspection assessment and received a valid accreditation certificate.
